5th Avenue Chocolatiere, based in New York City, was the first to make chocolate matzah for Passover, says its president, Joseph Whaley. This Rosh Hashanah, the most popular item is a wooden gift box featuring the numbers of the Hebrew calendar year — 5770 — in chocolate. The chocolate numbers are decorated with Jewish symbols, including shofars.
